LLBean is holding a summer concert series , here's the schedule.....
July 27: Bluegrass fun with Rhonda Vincent. 7:30 p.m. in Discovery
Park.

August 24 90th Anniversary Celebration
Our biggest event ever. Livingston Taylor kicks off the celebration
with a free concert at our Discovery Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Then take a shuttle to our Fogg Farm to witness the first flight of L.L.Bean's hot air balloon and a "moon glow" display of tethered hot air balloons. Experience fly casting, kayaking and sporting clays all weekend long with our Outdoor Discovery School instructors.
Come see world- class outdoor experts like John Viehman, host of PBS'
Anyplace Wild series, and Olympic Gold Medalist Joan Benoit Samuelson. Master fly-caster Macauley Lord will be here as well as National Geographic Traveler photographer Bob Krist. On Saturday, we'll unveil a 14-foot Bean Boot sculpture in honor of our first product, the Maine Hunting Shoe. The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra

Get ready for the hunting season with the latest gear, unique exhibits and displays. We'll have expert guests including Roger Raglin, slide shows, presentations, exciting giveaways and shooting at our outdoor range.

Midcoast Maine Brunswick/Harpswell-Boothbay Harbor are wonderful places to explore. Popham Beach, at the mouth of the Kennebec River is great for body surfing, sunbathing, hiking; Morse Mountain is a quiet hike with lots of birding; Fort Baldwin & Fort Popham are great places to explore all within 3 miles of each other. The Maine Festival featuring Maine only artists takes place at Thomas Point Beach August 2-4

Boothbay is a wonderful town with whale watching tours and lots of neat little shops and outdoor cafes. Although Bailey Island in Harpswell is quite touristy, the Giant Staircase is a unique natural Maine phenomen. Freeport/Pownal has Bradbury Mtn and Wolf Neck State Park, Falmouth has Mackworth Island, and Audubon Sanctuary. Cundy's Harbor in Harpswell has a nice working fishing community with Estees III to eat right on the dock.Letterboxers and geocachers will be kept quite busy between Falmouth-Boothbay. Enjoy your trip.
